The Secretary-General met with the President of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Mr. George Manneh Weah. The Secretary-General congratulated the President on Liberia’s progress on peace and democratic consolidation. The Secretary-General and the President exchanged views on the increasing cooperation between Liberia and the United Nations. The Secretary-General assured the President of the United Nations’ firm commitment to continue assisting national efforts towards peacebuilding and sustainable development.
