Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Bronislaw Komorowski, President of Poland

The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr Bronislaw Komorowski, President of Poland.  The Secretary-General thanked the President for the invitation to take part in the celebrations in Gdansk commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe. They highlighted the shared sacrifice in the victory over fascism and the need for unity to prevent future conflicts.

The Secretary-General and President Komorowski discussed the continuing conflict in Ukraine and the imperative of swift and full implementation of the Minsk agreements.
