Today the Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Hailemariam Desalegn, Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for Ethiopia’s constructive role in Somalia and South Sudan, in its capacity as chair of IGAD,  and for its generous hosting of the refugees from the region.

The Secretary-General thanked Ethiopia for hosting the upcoming Addis Ababa conference on financing for development and emphasised the importance of the means of implementation for a successful post-2015 development agenda, including public-private partnership.
