The Secretary-General spoke by telephone today with the Foreign Minister of France, H.E. Alain Juppe.

They discussed efforts to restart the Middle East peace process and importance of the role of the Quartet.

They also discussed the need to ensure aid for Gaza reached people through established channels rather than by flotillas that could raise tensions in the region.
