Zsófia Havasi serves as an Adviser in the GA Affairs, Budget and UN Reform team in the Office of the President of the 78th session of the General Assembly. Zsófia is the focal point for Security Council reform and the IGN process.
She previously served in the Cabinet of the 77th session.
Prior to joining the Office, Zsófia worked at the Permanent Mission of Hungary to NATO in Brussels from 2018 until 2022. During her time at NATO, she covered NATO’s southern focus; global partnerships; NATO-UN cooperation; the ‘Women Peace and Security’ agenda; and issues pertaining to refugees and migration.
Before her assignment to Brussels, Zsófia was the Head of Secretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, working with Minister Szijjártó for two years.
Before joining the Foreign Ministry, she worked at the Hungarian National Assembly, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Human Resources.
Zsófia holds two Master’s degrees, one on Security- and Defense Policy from Zrínyi Miklós National Defense University, and another on International Affairs from Kodolányi János University.
