Tara Khan is the Assistant to the President of the General Assembly. She has previously worked in the 76th and 77th sessions of the General Assembly.

Tara was an intern for the Protocol and Liaison Service in the Department for General Assembly and Conference Management for six months, following which she was hired by Protocol for the UN General Assembly High-Level Week in 2021.

Tara earned her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Tara is an active member of the UN Staff Union where she is the focal point for Racial Justice She speaks English, Urdu, Hindi, and French.
