Sareen Malik
Sareen leads ANEW, the umbrella organisation of water and sanitation NGOs in Africa, present in over 40 countries. She currently holds the position of Vice Chair on the SWA Steering Committee. A lawyer by training, with over 15 years experience in the field of water governance, restructuring WASH Civil Society Organisations, building partnerships and positioning CSOs in the water sector. She focuses on working with CSOs to meaningfully engage in the water sector and in the anti-corruption sector, mobilising voice around the call to action that good water governance is key to improved sector performance. Sareen has widely published and supported the development of sector governance tools for state and non-state actors.
