Robin Peeters
Robin Peeters is an Adviser on Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs in the Office of the President of the General Assembly (OPGA).
Mr. Peeters joined OPGA from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, where he had held various roles related to human rights and security policy since 2015. Prior to joining OPGA, he served as First Secretary at the Embassy of the Netherlands to the Russian Federation in Moscow. Before that, he worked for the coordinator of the split Dutch-Italian 2017-2018 UN Security Council membership and was seconded to the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the UN in Geneva. Prior to these positions, he worked on the international crisis response in Syria and Iraq.
Mr. Peeters holds a Master of Law (LLM) in International Law from the University of Amsterdam and a mMaster’s degree in International Affairs from Sciences Po Paris. He speaks Dutch (native), English, French and Russian.
