Ms. Florencia Chimwemwe Mtingwi is a Fellow in the Office of the President of the General Assembly. She serves as a Foreign Service Officer under the Americas Directorate in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi. Through her work, Florencia has been responsible for strengthening Malawi’s participation in multilateral diplomacy, particularly the work of the United Nations. Her previous tasks include working with the Department on National Unity as a Peace Building and Conflict Management Officer under the UNDP Social Cohesion Project in Malawi. She has also worked with the Development fund of Norway as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (Intern).
Florencia holds a degree of Bachelor of Arts Humanities from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College, and is currently pursuing the master’s degree of public management from the Korean Development Institute (KDI), School of Public Policy and Management. She has authored an article on a review of the Malawi National Youth Policy, published by the Republic of Korea National Youth Policy Institute.
