Ms. Andrea Toweka is a Fellow at the Office of the President of the General Assembly. She serves at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Zimbabwe, where she worked in the Strategic Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Department from 2021 to 2024. She was then transferred to the Multilateral Affairs Department. Before joining the Ministry, she rendered her services as an Innovator Against Gender-Based Violence under the Spotlight Initiative by UN Women and worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Sociology Department at the University of Zimbabwe.

Andrea has authored two articles on sexual and reproductive health, published in academic journals, and three policy briefs for UN Women. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a Master of Science degree in Population Studies from the University of Zimbabwe. She is a native speaker of English and Shona.
