place people at the centre of development.

Honored to convene the GA to mark 30 years of the International Conference on Population and Development. Since its adoption, we have seen significant progress in implementation of the Programme – notably, in the areas of poverty reduction, life expectancy and food security. But multifaceted global crises – from climate change to conflict – have jeopardized many of these hard-won gains. As we face challenges, let’s find innovative ways to ensure a shared future of peace and prosperity. #ICPD30
