Felix Brombach is an Adviser for Communications and Media in the Office of the 78th President of the General Assembly.
Felix, an experienced German career diplomat, brings a wealth of experience to the realms of multilateral diplomacy, intergovernmental affairs, legal matters, and effective communication.
Before joining the Office of the President of the General Assembly from the Permanent Mission of Germany to the UN, Felix served as an Election Officer and Deputy Spokesperson at the Mission. His role involved the strategic management of all of Germany’s candidacies and election campaigns. In addition, he handled various UN matters, fostering relationships with national and international journalists. He also represented Germany at the International Migration Review Forum and in negotiations for the modalities resolution of the Our Common Agenda/Summit of the Future Processes.
Before his New York assignment, Felix was Deputy Personal Assistant in the Office of the State Secretaries at the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. He facilitated interdepartmental coordination, bridging the gap between departments and the State Secretary, fostering processes in line with leadership objectives. Prior to that, he contributed to the Legal and Humanitarian Assistance and Stabilization Departments, drafting legislation concerning the secondment of experts to international peace missions and provided oversight throughout the legislative process.
Felix holds a Law degree from Bucerius Law School in Hamburg Germany and a Ph.D. in public international law. He is fluent in German and English, with strong command of French and Spanish, and working knowledge of Portuguese and Russian.
