
Denise Kling
Denise is a Communications Adviser in the Office of the President of the 75th session of the General Assembly (OPGA). This is her fourth session serving the Presidency. During her tenure in OPGA, Denise has been an adviser on communications, innovation and digital media for the Presidents of the 74th and 73rd sessions. During the 72nd session, she provided support to the Sustainable Development Team on issues related to the Sustainable Development Goals, climate change, migration and financing for development.
Before joining OPGA, Denise worked for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris. In this capacity, she supported the Executive Office in the coordination, planning, monitoring and evaluation of the Communication and Information Sector, covering issues related to Freedom of Expression; the Safety of Journalists; Media and Information Literacy; and Digital Innovation and Transformation.
Before joining the United Nations, Denise worked for several non-governmental organizations and the private sector in Canada and Mexico.
A Colombian national, Denise holds an M.A. in International Public Management from Sciences Po, Paris, and a B.A. in Political Science, Communication Studies and Art History from McGill University.
