Amy Quantrill

Amy Quantrill is the Deputy Director of Communications and Lead Speechwriter for the President of the 75th session of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Volkan Bozkir of Turkey. Amy is responsible for leading on the President’s speeches and for coordinating the speechwriting team.

Amy previously worked as Spokesperson and Speechwriter at the United Kingdom (UK) Mission to the United Nations from 2018, communicating UK policy through social media and traditional means.

Prior to her role in New York, Amy worked for the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in Ministerial Offices and on Middle East policy. She has held roles that covered the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Before joining the FCO, Amy worked as a Petroleum Engineer in the UK, Algeria and Azerbaijan.  She holds Master’s and undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London. Amy is from the UK, but grew up in Malaysia, and has lived in countries throughout Asia and Europe.
