On Friday, 19 April 2024, the President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Dennis Francis, met with H.E. Mrs. Imelde Sabushimike, Minister of National Solidarity of the Republic of Burundi.
The President of the General Assembly and the Minister of National Solidarity of Burundi discussed Burundi’s development priorities and the cooperation with the United Nations to support the country’s National Development Plan in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the SDGs, with a special focus on supporting indigenous communities.
The President of the General Assembly commended Burundi’s commitment towards the SDGs and the country’s interest to strengthen its partnership with the United Nations.
