President of the United Nations General Assembly Dennis Francis says the global community has a moral obligation to continue to fund the UN agency that supports the relief and human development of Palestinian people.
Writing in The National, he highlights the essential work of UNRWA for millions of Palestinian refugees and explains why its mission must continue.
“Our actions must go beyond mere charity. We have a moral obligation to sustain humanitarian assistance for thousands of Palestinians who are barely surviving, some teetering on the brink of life and death,” Mr Francis says.
“Palestinians have endured enough injustice.”
