Readout of the Meeting Between the President of the General Assembly and H.E. Mr. Lars Løkke Rasmussen, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark

On Monday, 25 March 2024, the President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Dennis Francis, met with H.E. Mr. Lars Løkke Rasmussen, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

The President of the General Assembly and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark discussed the ways to enhance cooperation between the United Nations Security Council and the General Assembly in in relation to matters of international peace and security. They further exchanged views on the upcoming high-level plenary meeting of the General Assembly on addressing the threats posed by sea-level rise.

President Francis commended Denmark’s longstanding commitment to the work of the United Nations.
