United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Group of Friends Annual Ministerial Meeting
The President of the General Assembly, H,E. Mr. Peter Thomson, today participated and delivered a statement at the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Group of Friends Annual Ministerial Meeting. He notably referred to the New York Declaration adopted at the High Level Meeting of the General Assembly, recalling that “(…) Member States not only reaffirmed their commitment to protect the human rights and fundamental freedoms of all refugees and migrants regardless of their status, but also to take a range of steps to counter xenophobia, racial discrimination and intolerance”.
