Meeting of President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Peter Thomson with President of Slovenia H.E. Mr. Borut Pahor

On 20 September, the President of the General Assembly, H.E. Mr. Peter Thomson met with President of Slovenia H.E. Mr. Borut Pahor. They agreed that the international community must work together to address the challenge of large movements of refugees and migrants. The President of the General Assembly and the President of Slovenia exchanged their views on the situation in the Wester Balkans, Africa and in the Middle East. The President Thomson emphasised the role of conflict prevention, diplomacy and celebrating successes such as the recent agreement between the Colombian government and FARC that could bring inspiration for other regions.
