What is the UNAI SDG Hub network?
UNAI SDG Hubs are designated institutions of higher education within the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) network that actively work to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by leveraging the power of academia to create positive social, economic, and environmental change. Launched in 2018, each SDG Hub is designated to focus on one specific SDG, fostering research, education, and global collaboration to advance that goal, while respecting the strong interdependencies across all 17 SDGs. This initiative underscores the critical role of academia in driving sustainable development and supporting the 2030 Agenda.
UNAI SDG Hub cohort 2025 - 2027:
The current cohort of UNAI SDG Hubs (2025 - 2027) will actively contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by utilizing academic research, teaching, and outreach activities aligned with the SDGs. Each Hub will be led by Hub Chair and consist of three Vice-chairs - for teaching and education, for research, and for outreach and partnership, thereby enabling a multifaceted approach to driving meaningful impact in support of the SDGs.
