Special Accreditation for the High-level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response (PPPR). 

The President of the General Assembly of the United Nations will convene a High-Level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response (PPPR) in September 2026, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, pursuant to General Assembly resolution A/79/333. 

In order to participate in the high-level event, the following categories of relevant organizations that are not in consultative status with ECOSOC must express interest here and must apply for special accreditation. 
- Non-governmental organizations  
- Academic institutions 
- Private sector 

Important note: Applications are submitted at the organizational level only (one per entity) and individuals may not apply.

Civil society organizations that are not in consultative status with UN ECOSOC MUST REQUEST special accreditation to participate in the high-level meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response (PPPR). You can check if your organization has consultative status with ECOSOC here.   

 

Multi-stakeholder Hearing on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response (PPPR)

In accordance with United Nations General Assembly resolution 79/333, the President of the General Assembly will convene an interactive multi-stakeholder hearing as part of the preparatory process for the High-Level Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response, to be held in September 2026, and will provide an opportunity for all relevant stakeholders to contribute to the preparations process.  

 

Representatives of civil society organizations, non‑governmental organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council, NGOs not in consultative status with ECOSOC, philanthropic foundations, academia, medical and scientific associations, the private sector and broader communities are invited to register through the Indico portal

The deadline to register is 12 May 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

Registering for the hearing does not guarantee in-person participation. You will receive an approval letter to confirm your in-person participation if your registration is approved by the United Nations Secretariat. 

The Hearing will be broadcast live on UN WebTV with interpretation in all 6 official languages of the United Nations. Please note that you do not have to register if you are planning to view the event online.    

 

Format 

The Multi-stakeholder Hearing will consist of an opening segment, interactive panel discussions, and a closing segment. The interactive panel discussions will provide opportunities for stakeholders to deliver interventions and engage in dialogue on strengthening multilateral cooperation and advancing effective and equitable pandemic prevention, preparedness and response.
