Each year, the Visitors Plaza of the United Nations comes alive with colour, flavour, and music for one of the most anticipated community events: the International Bazaar.
This festive gathering and expression of global unity is organized by the United Nations Delegations Spouses Club (UNDSC) under the inclusive leadership of arotating board of members from Member States.
Since its debut in 2013, under the patronage of Ban Soon-taek, the International Bazaar has grown into a cherished annual tradition. Permanent Missions, UN staff, and the wider diplomatic community converge to share and experience the richness of global cultures.
Walking through stalls hosted by UN missions, visitors are offered an array of traditional dishes, handcrafted items, and cultural displays, while live performances fill the space.
The International Bazaar is a vehicle for giving back, with proceeds supporting humanitarian causes worldwide. Funds raised are allocated by the organizing board. This year, funds raised will go to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, ensuring that assistance reaches communities affected by humanitarian crises.
The International Bazaar at the United Nations reminds us what is possible when people come together, not just to celebrate their differences, but to channel them into collective action for the greater good.
Join us for the International Bazaar!
The International Bazaar will take place on 2 June at the Visitors Plaza (46th Street) from 10.00 to 16.00.
