A record number of 182 side events were held during the Third International Conference on Financing for Development (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 13-16 July 2015). Side events featured in-depth discussions on all aspects of the Financing for Development agenda and provided a platform for Member States and other stakeholders to announce new policy and financial commitments. These new commitments and initiatives complement the actions and policy options contained in the Addis Ababa Action Agenda. The Financing for Development Office has prepared a publication which provides comprehensive summaries of the side events, as well as a compilation of the commitments and initiatives launched during the Conference. This publication is intended to serve as an input and resource for the Financing for Development follow-up process, especially the annual ECOSOC Forum on Financing for Development follow-up and the work of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Financing for Development.
