We are pleased to announce that the new UN Peacekeeping website is now live, following several months of work across teams.
The new site, built on Drupal 10, introduces a modern, streamlined design aligned with UN branding, with improved accessibility and a fully responsive experience across mobile and tablet devices.
All 11 mission sites were migrated in Q1, along with 12 closed mission sites, 2 regional office sites, UNPOL, and UNMAS sites.
Key improvements include a redesigned homepage with featured content and a concise explanation of peacekeeping, integration of a live news feed from UN News for more up-to-date content, and the automatization of peacekeeping data through new dashboards connected to the Peace and Security Data Hub to strengthen accuracy. The site also reflects a strengthened multilingual approach to support content across UN official languages.
While the site is now live, work is still ongoing. We will continue refining page layouts, addressing fixes, and implementing new items as we further stabilize the system.
In the coming weeks, the Strategic Communications Section will reach out to each relevant DPO section/unit to review and refresh thematic content and page layouts. Once updated, content will be re-promoted across social media channels.
Thank you for your collaboration throughout this process!
