Objectives

The project aims to study the challenges and opportunities for promoting international cooperation on the peaceful uses of technology, with the goal of equipping States with practical and actionable options to advance peaceful technological collaboration.

Components

The main components of the project include organizing a series of virtual research workshops to analyze the challenges and opportunities in advancing international cooperation, with a focus on the role of export control regimes and potential solutions; convening a virtual review workshop with international experts as a peer-review mechanism to evaluate and enhance the UNIDIR report; and developing, launching, and disseminating the report at a high-level side event during the 2026 session of the First Committee.
