17 Goals to Transform Our World

Since 2016, the SDG Media Zone has been one of the main features of major events at the United Nations, including the UN General Assembly high-level week, the UN Youth Forum and the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. It brings together world leaders, influencers, activists, experts, content creators and media partners to highlight actions and solutions in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Organized by the UN Department of Global Communications, in collaboration with the PVBLIC Foundation, the SDG Media Zone takes the conversation on advancing the 2030 Agenda out of the policy sphere and into the public discourse through impactful in-depth interviews and conversations on global issues that matter to people everywhere.

For People and Planet, 16-24 September 2021

As the world responds to end the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021 remains a make-or-break year in the global effort to restore balance with nature, tackle the climate emergency, and attain a more equal and inclusive society.

This UN General Assembly, the SDG Media Zone will highlight the tireless efforts of the global community, and the voices and needs of the people the intentional community serves. It will aim to reach and inspire audiences everywhere through meaningful content collaborations with global, regional and local media organizations, including members of the SDG Media Compact, interested in focusing on solutions for a better world.

Join us for conversations that matter – underscoring the transformation and restoration needed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and the ambitions of the Paris Climate Agreement. A full programme focusing on the priorities of the General Assembly, including climate action, protection of biodiversity, sustainable food systems and renewable energy, will be available soon.

Check out the SDG Media Zone programme and stay tuned for conversations that matter.
