Stephen Wyber is Director, External Affairs at the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions. In this role, he works with a team to raise awareness of the potential of libraries to engage in and contribute to key global agendas, serving as essential partners for sustainable development.

His other specific areas of work include the UN’s wider sustainable development agenda and digital inclusion. Previously within IFLA, Stephen held roles as Manager, Policy and Advocacy, and Policy Officer.

Prior to joining IFLA, Stephen worked for the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, both at the UK Permanent Delegation to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the British Embassy in Paris. He worked on a range of policy issues, including education, social affairs, science, innovation and business.

Stephen studied at the University of Aberystwyth, Wales, and the College of Europe, Natolin, Poland.
