the COVID-19 pandemic, access to UNHQ, as well as conference rooms and media
booths is restricted. Many meetings are taking place remotely, without physical

We have launched a new accreditation system. When applying
for a pass, all media representatives are required to create an account and
provide confirmation of their COVID-19 vaccination status. See the note on COVID-19

Media accreditation for Stockholm+50 opens in April
2022 and media accreditation for the Ocean Conference opens in May
2022
The Media Accreditation and Liaison Unit (M.A.L.U.) provides logistical support and information to members of the press:
- ACCREDITATION
A requirement for all journalists who wish to cover activities at the United Nations in New York (First time or Renewing)
- LIAISON/COVERAGE
MALU liaises with members of the press and Member States and provides escorts to events at UNHQ. Permanent/Observer Missions should submit requests for media passes through the e-Registration system on the e-deleGATE portal (instructions).
