Training Syllabus: Operationalizing Climate, Peace and Security in UN Policing in South Sudan (2025)

The Climate, Peace and Security (CPS) Training Syllabus has been designed to equip United Nations Police (UNPOL) officers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to identify, analyze, and respond to climate-related peace and security risks in their day-to-day policing duties. The training syllabus forms part of a broader effort to institutionalize CPS across all UNPOL activities and field operations. It aims to embed climate considerations into daily patrolling, protection, community engagement, and early warning.
