A Partnerships Fair was held
during CSD-13, 11 to 22 April 2005, and focussed
on partnerships activities in the thematic cluster of
water, sanitation and human settlements.
In keeping with the policy year focus
on “practical measures and options to expedite implementation
of commitments”, the Partnerships Fair at CSD-13 highlighted
the lessons learned from registered partnerships for
sustainable development. Specifically, the CSD-13 Partnerships
Fair had two main components:
- “Partnerships in Practice”: Interactive
discussions on practical issues related to partnerships,
based on the ‘real’ experiences of CSD registered
partnerships. These sessions focused on lessons learned
from partnerships directly working in the thematic
areas of water, sanitation and human settlements.
- Information Desks & Display:
Representatives from CSD registered partnerships had
the opportunity to display and distribute information
related to their partnership and directly interact
with CSD participants.
Note: Partnerships activities were also
organised during the CSD Intergovernmental preparatory
meeting in New York from 28 February to 4 March
2005.
For more information refer to the Partnerships
Fair page on the CSD-13 website.
