Election of members of the International Court of Justice
The General Assembly elected on 10 November 2011, concurrently with the Security Council, the following 4 members to the International Court of Justice to serve a nine-year term beginning on 6 February 2012: China, Italy, Japan and Slovakia.

Election of members of the Economic and Social Council
The General Assembly elected on 24 October 2011 the following 18 members to the Economic and Social Council to serve three-year terms beginning 1 January 2012: Belarus, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Ethiopia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Lesotho, Libya, Nigeria, Spain and Turkey.

Election of non-permanent members of the Security Council
The General Assembly elected on 21 October 2011 Guatemala, Morocco, Pakistan and Togo to serve as non-permanent members of the Security Council for two-year terms beginning on 1 January 2012. On 24 october 2011 the General Assembly elected Azerbaijan as a non-permanent member.
