What is development cooperation?

Development cooperation is an integrating force for the implementation of the post-2015 development agenda. This brief proposes a working definition of development cooperation more suited to today's realites and a post-2015 setting.



Transitioning from the MDGs to SDGs

To eradicate poverty and achieve sustainable development, the actions taken in 2015 are expected to result in new Sustainable Development Goals that build on the eight Millennium Development Goals.  The Secretary-General's Report on the 2015 ECOSOC theme reviews the specific policies and institutional arrangements that are essential for Member States, the UN system and wider international community for the successful implementation of the SDGs.
