The ECOSOC Special Event, “How corporate philanthropy can contribute to advancing the Millennium Development Goals, particularly for sustainable development”, will take place on 25 February 2008, from 3:00 to 5:40 p.m. at the United Nations Headquarters, New York City .
A Networking Reception, hosted by AIG, will be held from 5.45 to 6.45 p.m. at the United Nations immediately following the event.
Participation at this special event as well as at the reception is by invitation only .
Registration will start at 2 p.m. Outside participants should plan to arrive at the UN Visitors' Entrance at 2 p.m. to allow time to pass through United Nations security. The Visitors' Entrance is located on First Avenue at 46th Street ( View Map ). The registration table will be located inside the Visitor's Entrance after passing through UN security. UN grounds passes will be issued upon presentation of a valid photo identification. Participants are required to wear these passes at all times while in the UN premises. (Please note that the United Nations secretariat will only issue passes to those who have confirmed participation by sending in their registration form prior to the meeting.) Location of meeting
The meeting will be in the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Chamber, located on the Second Floor of the General Assembly Building.
The United Nations Headquarters is located on First Avenue between 42 nd Street and 46th Street.
Subway: Number 4,5,6 or 7 trains to Grand Central Station; walk on 42nd Street to First Avenue .
Buses: M15, M27, M42, or M104.
