The largest global gathering of Indigenous Peoples opened this week, with the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) holding its 25th session from 20 April to 1 May.

The theme of this year’s global gathering is ensuring Indigenous Peoples’ health, including in the context of conflict. Follow live via UN Web TV.

The UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues is also hosting a high-level dialogue on Indigenous Peoples and climate change, focusing on articles 3, 4, 25 and 26 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

On the margins, the American Indian Law Alliance has organized an Indigenous Craft Fair on Wednesday, 22 April from 9.00 – 18.00 at the UN Church Centre (2nd Floor, 777 United Nations Plaza, New York, NY 10017).
