Jamison Medby
Officer-in-Charge of the Physical Security Unit (PSU) Ms. Medby has been serving as Officer-in-Charge of the Physical Security Unit (PSU) in the United Nations Department of Safety and Security for over two years, providing leadership for the staff of the PSU as they deliver advice and guidance for all UNSMS organization premises, worldwide. She helped create the PSU, sharing in the development of its methods, tools, training programme and reference information. Prior to working in the PSU, Jamie served as a policy officer in the Policy, Planning and Coordination Unit and was one of the original Regional Security Analysts in the Threat and Risk Service covering all of the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining the UN, Ms. Medby was a researcher for the Rand Corporation for 10 years, developing methods of intelligence for the U.S. and UK militaries and police organizations and providing policy advice for several governments and private corporations. Her book on intelligence methods for military urban operations was adopted as doctrine by the U.S. Army and Marine Corps. |
