Gabriel Obodai Torgbor-Ashong is a broadcast journalist with Metro TV, where he focuses on human rights, sanitation and sustainable development. In August 2016, his story ‘The Neglected Souls', chronicling the harsh ordeals of street children, earned him the National Best Human Rights Journalist Award by the Ghana Journalists Association. His stories have prompted the authorities to take concrete actions to rescue street children, provide support to vulnerable persons, and provide much-needed amenities for schools and communities.
