The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Musa Kousa, Secretary of the General People's Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation, Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.
The Secretary-General discussed Libya's role in support of the Darfur peace process and other initiatives on the continent. He also spoke of the need to ensure that mediation initiatives launched by Member States are complementary to, and reinforce, the efforts of the United Nations.
