The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) published today preliminary estimations of expected socioeconomic impact of the Gaza war on the State of Palestine.
The report assesses the immediate impacts of the Gaza war on lives, livelihoods, health, infrastructure, poverty, Human Development Index as well as the broader economic implications. The report also examines the potential regional impacts and prospects of economic recovery.
The joint policy brief puts forwards recommendations, including for post-war reconstruction and recovery efforts.
