New Take-off predicted for fdi, says joint unctad-corporate location survey

GENEVA, 13 April (UN Conference on Trade and Development) -- More than four out of five international location experts from around the world believe that FDI is about to take off again, following three years of continuous decline in global foreign direct investment.

GENEVA, 3 March (UNCTAD) -- Tourism officials from more than 50 countries worldwide will gather at Lisbon's Congress Centre from 8 to 11 March to share experiences and best practices in sustainable tourism as a tool for development.  The meeting is being organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) as part of its efforts to help developing countries take advantage of the growth in international tourism.  Participants will make recommendations on how UNCTAD can improve those efforts.
