Readout of the President of the General Assembly’s meeting with Ms. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia

The President of the General Assembly, H.E. Ms. Annalena Baerbock, met with H.E. Ms. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, on 24 September 2025.

They reaffirmed the importance of the Pact for the Future as a milestone achievement through collective action. The President of the General Assembly commended Namibia’s crucial role in the negotiation of the Pact of the Future and the country’s commitment to advancing gender equality and female leadership.

They also reflected on the anniversary of the Beijing Conference.
