Exploring strategies to facilitate integration of the Programme of Action into national policies and development plans to ensure coherence and alignment.
About the meeting
The Awaza Programme of Action specifically calls upon the entities of the United Nations development system to support the Resident Coordinators in the LLDCs and to assist them in the mainstreaming of the Programme of Action into development planning at the country level in a coordinated and cohesive manner. It also invites Resident Coordinators and United Nations country teams, as well as country-level representatives of the World Bank Group, IMF and other multilateral institutions, to continue to collaborate with and provide support to national follow-up and monitoring.
