The LLDC3 Civil Society Forum is an opportunity for representatives of civil society from around the world to engage with world leaders, UN Heads, and others to share experience and insight to help shape the sustainable development agenda in landlocked developing countries. A multi-stakeholder approach is key to galvanizing broad support for the new Programme of Action, and the new generation of support measures that it will entail. To transform the economies of LLDCs and empower them to leverage their potential for prosperity and stability, grassroots perspectives and expertise will be crucial.
Civil society alliances can bring the priorities of LLDCs to the global policy discussion on key macroeconomic issues of relevance to their development. and the implementation of the Programme of Action will depend on both the active engagement of the public and private sector.
