<p>The twenty-fourth and final temporary exhibit at the UN Pavilion opened today under the title “Disasters Are Not Natural.” Timed to coincide with the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction on 13 October, the exhibit, organized by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), features compelling stories, photos and videos showcasing examples of good practices in Barbados, Colombia, Japan, and Somalia. Kickstarting the exhibit week which runs until 13 October, UNDRR also organized a talk event on Japan’s role in strengthening the resilience of countries around the world.</p>
