Timed to coincide with the Theme Week on Peace, Human Security, and Dignity at the Expo and the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima (6 August) and Nagasaki (9 August), the fourteenth temporary exhibit at the UN Pavilion at Expo 2025 is organized by the United Nations Office on Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) and will be on display until 11 August. UNODA’s exhibit showcases 12 posters illustrating disarmament, including one by Japanese artist Kumi Nakazato, originally selected in 2016 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the first General Assembly resolution which first identified the goal of eliminating atomic weapons and all other major weapons adaptable to mass destruction from national armaments.
