Thank you for the interest in the United Nations presence at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

A visit to our UN Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai, or our virtual UN Pavilion , will enable you to explore the United Nations’ 80-year history of advancing peace, human rights, sustainable development, and climate action and see how the work of the UN system impacts everyone's life everywhere today.

Experience a vision of a peaceful, prosperous and a sustainable future that is feasible when we act in unity for people and planet. The UN Pavilion will also host temporary exhibits and programming events that showcase the work of UN entities worlwide represented in the UN pavilion.

You can also learn about ways in which you too can be part of global effort to create a future in which everyone thrives in peace, dignity and equality on a healthy planet!

Patoranking

Patoranking visits the UN Pavilion

Earlier this week, we were pleased to welcome Mr. Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, better known by his stage name Patoranking, to the UN Pavilion. Currently serving as UNDP Regional Goodwill Ambassador for Africa, Patoranking attended the closing ceremony of Africa Week, where he spoke about African culture and the need to empower the continent’s vibrant youth to ensure sustainable and equitable development.

Passing On the Story

Organized by UNIC and TBS

This exhibition showcases various initiatives aimed at preserving memories of war and passing them on to future generations to help end and prevent conflicts. Some examples also utilize technology. This year marks 80 years since the end of the war, and TBS, along with the 28 stations of its JNN network, has collected valuable testimonies and visuals to pass on the memories of war to the next generation. The exhibition is composed of carefully selected materials from among those gathered.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will host Africa Week from 17 August to 24 August at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. The UN Pavilion will present immersive programmes - organized in collaboration with the non-profit organization SackOmi - that connect Africa's rich cultural diversity and creativity with Japan's future.

The UN Pavilion has began its fifteenth temporary exhibit, running until 16 August. Organized by the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA), the exhibit "Diplomacy for Peace: Building a More Peaceful Future" highlights the enduring commitment of the United Nations to prevent and resolve conflicts and build sustainable peace through diplomacy and mediation. The exhibit also features DPPA’s efforts on Women, Peace and Security, and for democratic governance, including electoral assistance.
