2. Rights of the Youth
In Article 15 (3) (c) of the Additional Protocol to the American Convention
on Human Rights in the Field of Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights States undertake to
adopt special measures for the protection of adolescents in order to ensure the full
development of their physical, intellectual and moral capacities.
The goals mentioned in the United Nations Rules for the Protection of Juveniles
Deprived of their Liberty are protections provided specifically for juveniles.
