Second Informal Consultation
The second informal consultation on the outcome document of the 2017 FfD Forum was held on 21 April 2017. The purpose of the meeting was to hear specific and substantive comments of Member States on the desired content and structure of the zero draft outcome document, following the 6 technical briefings on the IATF report by FfDO. The Co-facilitators reiterated their intention to release the zero draft by 28 April and to convene an informal consultation on 2 May to hear first reactions to the draft. Eighteen delegations took the floor, including seven speaking on behalf of groups of countries. Member States welcomed the timeline proposed by the co-facilitators and called for a strong, balanced and concise zero draft. Delegations also provided detailed comments on the IATF report and in-depth views on the desired content of the zero draft.
