Description
Progress on the Sustainable Development Goals remains limited, with many targets stagnating or regressing, especially in areas like poverty, hunger, and inequality. Smallholder farmers and rural communities face ongoing barriers to adopting sustainable practices, increasing productivity, and building resilience against environmental shocks.

To tackle these challenges, the project promotes Juncao technology to strengthen food systems, support climate adaptation, and reduce poverty. It uses peer learning and study tours to build capacity among farmers, MSMEs, and policymakers, enabling them to access local agro-value chains and implement sustainable practices. In its third phase, focusing on Africa and Asia-Pacific, the project provides targeted support to countries committed to advancing SDGs 1, 2, and 15 through technology adoption and capacity building.
