The project supports the Secretary-General’s decision-making processes and streamlines reporting to advance the priorities of the Pact for the Future; facilitates the effective implementation of Pact actions under the direct responsibility of EOSG; upgrades the Pact monitoring system; scales up global outreach and communication; and provides targeted support for the implementation of the Declaration on Future Generations, ensuring intergenerational issues are reflected in messaging and reporting.

Objectives

The project aims to advance the Secretary-General’s vision on the future of multilateralism through implementation and advocacy on the Pact for the Future.

Components

The project’s key components include strengthening United Nations coordination mechanisms to advance the priorities of the Pact for the Future, including support for the Secretary-General’s decision-making processes and streamlined reporting; supporting the effective implementation of Pact actions under the direct responsibility of EOSG; upgrading the Pact monitoring system to enable real-time tracking and data-driven decision-making; scaling up global outreach and communication to maintain visibility and promote key Pact deliverables; and providing targeted support for the implementation of the Declaration on Future Generations, ensuring intergenerational issues are reflected in messaging and reporting.
