Objectives

The project aims to enhance the capacity of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and its Member States to promote inclusive political and economic integration in the region, thereby fostering stability and economic resilience across the Horn of Africa. The project aligns with the Pact for the Future by strengthening preventive diplomacy and mediation efforts, ultimately supporting sustainable development and regional cooperation.

Components

The project’s main components include the establishment of a community of practice; completion of a stakeholder engagement workshop; delivery of capacity-building courses, forums, and workshops; development of a regional integration framework; completion of a roundtable meeting and a high-level dialogue; and the validation and institutionalization of policies through a ministerial-level meeting.
